    @aboutsignal
    We don't want a desktop app, we want an Emacs package.

        @aboutsignal

        Hahaha, these people are so full of BS its hilarious.

        KYC is KYC folks.

        A phone is a phone is a phone you know, mobile or not.

        Can I suggest people want privacy more than flexibilty.

        Make Signal as anonymous as, say, Delta Chat and you have my ear.

          @TehAppKiller @aboutsignal well, I would love to not have to register a phone number, but! I understand it may be cheaper for them to prevent bots, as phone numbers cost real money and it's good way to prevent spam to their servers. If they only knows that your phone is registered in their servers it's still privacy focus. And to be honest? I love the fact I see who from my contacts I can contact via signal

            @aboutsignal I have never been able to get signal to work on my android phone. So having it work on my laptop will be a great leap forward. The rest of my family use signal without trouble!

              @aboutsignal

              For those who didn't read the release, it still requires a *phone*. Just not a smart phone.

              When will Signal allow you to connect via a web page like What's App does?

              Or connect a non-phone tablet, like WA ?

                @krzemyk @TehAppKiller @aboutsignal Virtual phone numbers are *dirt* cheap. Like, "any script kiddie is able to buy them in bulk" cheap.

                    I sincerely doubt any software working under Windows can be honestly secure.

                      @raulmatias @TehAppKiller @aboutsignal and how many could you buy? Thousand? And even it's 50 cents, then it would cost 500 dollars. So the cost aren't small. I think that for similar reason Anubis works on website by making crawler generating higher costs
