Since I joined I have ditched most subscription stuff like Spotify, Amazon and Netflix.
Made the swap to Linux.
Started painting.
Now I am considering whether or not I could be a Person Who Bikes Places.
I’m liking it here too. Lots of interesting stuff and pretty things I had no clue was even here.
I would ask what flavor of Linux but instead I’ll just say that’s awesome

@Whimsy I'm on POP OS! haha. Someone that I met on here helped me make the swap and suggest it as my primary use for my PC is gaming.

Can barely do it with 24 C (sometimes even 18 C) since summers here tends to be very humid. 24 C can easily feel like 30 C with sauna effect. -
The responses to this have really shown me that the Bike People that I don't follow are actually very similar to the Linux ppl I don't follow and are part of why I avoided it for so long.

The last few summers have been blindingly hot WITH 90% and higher humidity for days on end. I can barely function in my house with AC, I cannot imagine biking.

@airikr @hermannus Yeah, I wasn't kidding when I said I struggle with The Weather. The last few summers have been blindingly hot WITH 90% and higher humidity for days on end. I can barely function in my house with AC, I cannot imagine biking.
Last summer I had a blast riding up and down the Chicago lakeshore on an ebike with my daughter and her girlfriend. If you are serious about biking, you might truly extend your weather-range with an ebike. I bike to work in nice weather, but it's only half a mile each way for me, so I can't boast about it.
