@johnefrancis Common sense is, of course, just an expression of one's biases. At least you could argue that common sense is being wrong, honestly. I think Ford's weapon is his non-elite folksiness. Like George W Bush, he's fun to have a beer with, just shoveling out folk with his tiny shovel.

@johnefrancis not just corruption, cannot forget the autocracy!
Remember, he cancelled fixed election dates, giving him an extra year in office and the ability to call a snap election whenever he wants.
Just like the snap election he called in 2025 only a little over halfway through his 2nd mandate, while everyone was distracted with the chaos down south and he was up in the polls playing his "Captain Canada" act, but before he completely caved to Trump because of the auto sector.
