The US Supreme Court today gutted a law aimed at protecting the rights of Black Americans to be fairly represented in Congressional districts.
Now, Republicans can carve up Black population centers so they don’t have a majority anywhere.
"Wednesday’s 6–3 party-line decision in Louisiana v. Callais will go down in history as one of the most pernicious and damaging Supreme Court decisions of the last century," Rick Hasen writes in Slate.
