    @Taweret Invasion: UFO is an edit-together movie from Sylvia and Gerry Anderson's first live-action TV series, UFO. They're the same people who did Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Space: 1999 (series one before the divorce, series two after), and etc.

    IMO whether anything Gerry Anderson is good depends upon whether Sylvia was there. She did things like make shows run properly and also invented all the connecting parts. If you know Thunderbirds, _she invented the Tracy family_.

    Regardless, it's two TV episodes mashed together, from a series that had some really good episodes but also a few stinkers.

    And the lead is Captain Blue, but in his human body, which is just weird. xD

    ANYWAY THAT'S RIGHT FANDERSON IS IN THE HOUSE

      @Taweret No Critters on the poll... It feels partly refreshing, partly unsettling. Or maybe I am starting to miss them.

      @diazona @Taweret It's a deep trauma. You have to learn to let it go.

        @Taweret wow The Monster That Challenged The World is such a great name i wonder if a 1950s B movie can live up to 😆

        fun to speculate what that means

          @Taweret

          • The Werewolf(1956) - The poster is a little bland, but but I like "Scientists turn men into beasts". That's not a usual werewolf story! Might be interesting.

          • End of the World(1977) - I like this poster. It just has one image, and it's a strong one. Flesh melting off a skull?

          • Reptilian / Yonggary(1999) - This is still a remake of a Godzilla knockoff. And the poster makes no effort to hide it.

          • Shock Waves (1977) - This is still an amazing poster.

              • The Monster That Challenged the World (1957) - This one has a very classic monster movie poster. Interesting that the monster is not humanoid.

              • Invasion: UFO (1980) - Oh no. It wants to be Star Wars.

                    @forestine @Taweret such an amazing title that it managed to steal my vote away from Critters 4 last week.

                      @Taweret I don't know, but I'm going to guess that "Invasion UFO" is actually not very much like Star Wars at all, but the poster guy was given strict instructions to make it look like the world's most popular movie.
