Verdict: Claim seems true
️Not even those with stars or other indication you're legit would be acceptable since they don't prove citizenship.
And only 5 states have "enhanced drivers licenses" - Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont & Washington.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/1383/textPer the DHS's website (in the AP article in previous post), "enhanced drivers licenses" aren't standard. People must apply for them.

AND if they have to pay for those special drivers' licenses in order to vote,
️ Wouldn't that effectively be a poll tax?
️(Note: It looks like other forms of ID that prove citizenship, like birth certificates (I suppose combined w/ official picture ID), would also be acceptable. Same with passports, which people have to pay for

)By the way,
Poll taxes are illegal in the United States, having been outlawed "under section 10 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965."
And the "24th Amendment, ratified January 23, 1964, abolished the use poll taxes for Federal elections in the United States

And an aside having to do with #privacy —
According to the #DHS website, the "enhanced drivers licenses" that prove #US citizenship not only include an RFID chip that signals a "secure system" to "pull up your biographic and biometric data for the CBP officer as you approach the border inspection booth" when crossing the US border.
So that's great... let's carry a government RFID everywhere we go.
