@btuftin @ProPublica at what point will the writers just give up and make their own publication? In this space what value does separate ownership even convey, especially with unreasonable owners? We are not loyal to the publication but rather the journalists

@ferrix @ProPublica Establishing a new organization takes time, money and effort. Also, social media likely skews your perception of how large a proportion of donors/readers are aware of /acting on the awareness of management being jackasses.

@btuftin @ProPublica I'm not under any illusions about the level of general awareness, but I wonder how much time and effort it actually takes compared to the time and effort of actually doing the work of journalism. Thinking about 404 and Defector media. People will follow the journalists when a publication hollows out
