    Does anybody know what happened to the `ungoogled-chromium` package on #FreeBSD? I know I had installed it at one point, but it doesn't appear to be available any more:

    $ pkg search ungoogled || echo not found
    not found

      @gumnos@mastodon.bsd.cafe You sure you're not thinking of NixOS?
      $ nix-shell -p ungoogled-chromium
      these 4 paths will be fetched (137.75 MiB download, 699.27 MiB unpacked):

        May have been moved to ports, worth checking there if you haven't already.

          @driusan

          I know I had it installed on both my FreeBSD & OpenBSD machines. It's still on my OpenBSD machine, but it disappeared from my FreeBSD machine (there are vestigial traces of it in my browser-wrapper script)

            @Saorsa It's been a while since I freshened my ports-collection, but it's not in there:

            $ ls -1d /usr/ports/*/*{chromium,ungoog}*

            doesn't bring back anything, but it does look like tit might be available on Freshports:

            https://www.freshports.org/www/ungoogled-chromium/

            Odd.

                @anparker

                yeah, I've lost chromium like that before, and I would have figured that build issues with one would impact the other, so either I'd have them both or neither. But I have chromium and not ungoogled-chromium 🤷

                I'll just sit tight for now.

                  @gumnos Still in ports, but fuck compiling anything that heavyweight. Absolutely hellish browser to compile because it vendors basically an entire operating system--and one that's way heavier than buildworld at that!
