@catsalad if you hold a crab up to your ear you can hear what it sounds like to be attacked by a crab

@Viss @catsalad You can also hear it, probably with less physical pain, by getting the Heretical Fishing audiobooks.

(I am not affiliated with the author, the publisher, the fantastic narrator Heath Miller or, as far as I know, any human involved in the production or sale of these audiobooks. I just love them.)

@catsalad if you teach someone to detect the smell of unwashed ass they will never forgive you and be self conscious for the rest of their lives

"Trees" are not a biological grouping the way, say, "mammals" are. It's just a body plan. An oak tree is more closely related to a daisy than to a pine tree.

@victoria @catsalad MORBID STORY I met a man who had an alsation who was rescued after his owner passed away and the dog had been trapped with him for several days, well, you can guess what happened. the new owner said he was an absolute sweetie but the only strange thing he did, if you were sleeping on the sofa, he'd place his nose right on your eye and inhale deeply. It just made me think of that!

@catsalad the moon is leaving. very slowly. in about 600 million years “total eclipses” will not happen because the moon will look smaller than the sun in the sky. so you should try to catch one while you still can.
