This is utterly incoherent.
What Canadians need to hear from our Prime Minister right now is simple: call for a ceasefire and immediately withdraw your misguided support for Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war.
Canadians don’t want to be part of this axis of aggression and impunity, AI-targeted assassinations, and the blatant killing of civilians.
We want our country to be a voice for peace.

@avilewis If I were him, I'd not pick fights I couldn't win and focus on building trade relationships and strengthening our economy as priority #1 as we're going to need the resources and relationships. The luxury the NDP has, however, is they can open their big high horse yaps to the cheers of 10% of the Canadian population, knowing they'll never have to worry about the consequences of their "bravery."

@mark @avilewis wow that's quite the statement. Do you use terms like "virtue signalling" and "woke agenda" too?
It's a sad thing to see someone show contempt to people who speak their values. All of the rights we have today are because collections of voices like the NDP spoke up for oppressed and marginalized people to be treated better. If you're not part of the 1% of wealth hoarders that includes you too, neighbour.

@TheresaReason @avilewis I like the woke agenda, thanks.

@mark @TheresaReason @avilewis I think you make a fair point but I disagree nonetheless. There's a way to stay out of it without professing "support". Something along the lines of:
"We urge our allies to seek a return to diplomacy as soon as possible."

@TheresaReason @renardboy @avilewis I'm not unhappy to see the Iran regime falling, they funded terror, they treated their own people poorly. The way in which it happened was obviously questionable. My main point was that he needs to focus on what he can control and not get draw into losing battles (Orange child king likes retribution and Canada can't afford that right now) shoring up trade/relationships gives us more to stand on. He did say "not a blank cheque," meh.. NDP would rather posture.
