      Looking at the budget segment, prices have generally increased ~50% or a little more compared to mid 2010s phones you mentioned, and that trend seems to correlate with flagship prices as well.

      It really does suck when thermodynamics catches up with the infinite money printer πŸ˜•

          Judging from GSMArena's MSRP estimates, the Redmi 4A cost about $134.95 accounting for inflation, and the Redmi 5A cost about $120.50 accounting for inflation.
          I don't really trust GSMArena's estimates, but it's all I could find...
