@Cadbury_Moose I agree. However, very few SF writers existed who did not have a primary job (even prolific authors like Simak had a career). He is not an exception in struggling to get by without a second job (after he lost his first one). He also had the really troubling tendency to spend an entire payment for a story on expensive clothes, rare guns, and booze while complaining about government expenditure to help the lesser off.

@SFRuminations Omnilingual (second cover) is very good. I think @TrishEM read it for Librivox, or at any rate is also a fan of that story. I haven't read much else Piper.
