    US considers lifting more sanctions on Russian oil as Iran conflict sees global prices surge

    Washington says new measures not aimed at easing restrictions on Moscow and only affect supplies already in transit

    @jmaris

    The Republicans' actions only make sense if they are Russian assets.

      @jmaris Ukraine gives them drone tech and Russia shares US target coordinates with Iran, but America STILL doesn’t know which one is their enemy, I guess.

      Why cannot people take seriously the idea that Trump is a Russian asset?

            Why are you pretending that trump is governing in good faith? His actions are only weird if you assume he has the interests of anyone other than himself as motivation. He's a sociopath, done.

              @JeanSanPach @jmaris

              trAmp is the Grand Poobah of profiteering. It's all about the money and big egos. Here is a joke to keep is all sane. 😉

              Putin called Trump: "Our biggest condom factory exploded—send 1 million red ones, 10 inches long, 4 inches wide!"
              "Consider it done," said Trump.
              After hanging up, Putin laughed with his aides.
              Trump then called a condom company: "Ship 1 million red condoms to Russia—10 inches long, 4 inches wide. Print on each one: 'Made in America. Size: Small'."
              😊

                @jmaris Europe should launch preemptive strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.

                Hmmm... not sure about that.
                Ukraine is already doing this.
                Also, "preemptive strikes" is the US signature move to justify aggression. Europe is smarter and better than that.

                  Agree. The dude is not really insane; he simply unethical and corrupt as hell. Prez Grand Poobah does everything only guided by his own $$$ interests. trAmp is a product of our society, which is not built for the common good but only for making the ultra-rich even richer.

                  Years ago I read this proverb:
                  It is not the one who eats the whole pie who is crazy; the crazy ones are all those who let him do it.

                    @jmaris and apparently Russia is providing Iran with military intel, but sure, let's reward them for that, too!

                      @jmaris The faction aligned with Vance is advocating a pullback from Europe and a reset with Russia.

                      American commercial involvement in Russia's energy sector would only be logical if American companies could sell that energy to customers... which, surprise surprise, are Europeans.

                      US companies get access to Russian energy assets, and Europe becomes the captive market for that energy, intermediated by American capital. Europe would end up paying for its own geopolitical subordination, twice: first to Washington, then to Moscow, with the profits going to the same investment class.

                      I have to hand it to the US, it's a masterful gambit
