So, the Epstein files are "start a war with Iran" bad

@Okuna @michelestrider In case you're actually being honest here (usually someone that doesn't know english doesn't go telling native speakers they're doing it wrong, but whatever):
You're conflating conviction and evidence. An accusation, especially one given to police during an investigation, is generally seen as evidence a crime took place. A conviction is a different matter.
And I don't actually have to give a shit about any of that because I'm not the fucking court system.
@crazyeddie @michelestrider
I am serious and honest. I know english but I am not a native speaker. So I challenge my own understanding and account for the fact, that I learnt something wrong or I remember it wrong.
I did not want to tell you, your english is wrong. If this came across, I apologize.
Conviction to me is if a court has ruled. Evidence is proof that something happened. Needed for conviction but proof not always leads to a conviction, I think.
An accusation given to the police for me is not evidence. People accuse others at the police and lie sometimes. It is an accusation the police has to look into and find out if the accusation is correct or not. If it is correct, in my books it is evidence.
I do give a shit, else the western legal system is useless. -

@michelestrider Next stop: No elections again, ever

An accusation is evidence. If it's *credible enough* evidence it might even be used as such in court. Or it may be discounted by other evidence and then it's no longer evidence of that crime but of another possibly.
Was it credible?
* Investigators are said to have thought so.
* It was removed from the *EVIDENCE*That's enough for me for now.

@crazyeddie @michelestrider If I am dishonest dont answer.
Webster Dictionary about accusation:
-a charge of wrongdoing
The evidence confirms the accusations made against him.
The evidence confirms the accusation which means an accusation is not necessarily evidence.
in the U. S. legal system, there's a big difference between an accusation and evidence:Accusation:
An accusation is a claim that someone has done something wrong or illegal.
Evidence is the proof (or attempted proof) used to support or disprove an accusation.
I stop my case, it is useless to discuss with you. -

@michelestrider "Wag the Dog" was not an instruction manual.
@deBaer neither was The Handmaid’s Tale, but the people in charge don’t seem to understand that. @michelestrider
