Heat pumps for all new homes and plug-in solar in green tech drive

Solar panels that can be plugged in at home could be available to buy in supermarkets in the coming months.

@Akshay On the one hand, jolly good, on the other hand, everybody involved in planning policy across the country forever wishes that central government would occasionally stop moving the goalposts, if only for a few months, so that they'd have a chance to catch up.

@TimWardCam @Akshay In particular, I wish they'd finally figure out what they're doing with the EPC ratings. Under the current 2030 EPC C target, heat pumps score worse than efficient gas or oil boilers, which I find totally absurd.
And then there's the plumbers who will either ignore any questions about getting a building's heating system ready for switching to a heat pump, or reply with "don't bother, just get a new boiler."
