At the very least there'll probably be another gap in filming even if they are picked back up. Which will lead to a gap in airing.

You know my pessimistic view on this. This is the perfect opportunity for the Ellisons to let Kurtzman's contract expire and usher in their own vision for Star Trek. Which probably will not be good. -
