"The price of RAM has increased."
"[...] abuse of extremely cheap plans has also increased significantly."

@jtk ionos has a tiny vps (similar specs, one 1GB RAM) for 1€/month. I can recommend it. Actually my fediverse instance is running on one of them. -

@i There are probably quite a few better deals financially. The alexhost hardware (CPU) in this case is also quite old. The interesting part to me was just the matter of the increase (even on this old stuff), but I think really this was an excuse to weed out some abusers.
