#US forces fired on & disabled 2 Iranian #oil tankers on Friday after exchanging fire with #Iran forces in the #StraitOfHormuz overnight. The #UAE, meanwhile, reported another Iranian missile & drone attack.

The attacks cast more doubt on a tenuous month-old “ceasefire” that the US has insisted is still in effect. The #Trump admin is awaiting an Iranian response to its latest proposal for a deal to end the #war, reopen the strait & roll back Iran’s #nuclear program.

Trump announces a 3-day Russia-Ukraine ceasefire
