When I see an image of a brown man dressed like that, smoking, I don’t think ‘villain’. I think many of my friends’ dads who will give me some whisky and smokes at a wedding we’re at.

When I see a typical Hollywood Asian villain, I see a bunch of uncles who are likely to feed me noodles.
