Look, Americans - there's literally zero doubt about this.

Look, Americans - there's literally zero doubt about this. Protest & document all you can, sure, but if you're not also making VERY specific & actionable plan for what to do about it when & as it happens, you do realize he's just going to continue his reign like this until he dies, right?

@jwcph Some people are just incapable of believing that democracy has already been suspended in the USA; tyranny is something that only happens in other countries. It's going to take the midterms actually being disrupted, annulled or cancelled by the executive for them to finally wake up and smell the coffee.
American exceptionalism is one hell of a drug.

@ApostateEnglishman @jwcph I don't think that even that will be enough. They are too apathetic, waiting for the magic of the word "democracy" to fix things.
If this had happened in France, there would have been a general strike by day 4, and they had dismantled the entire Palais de l'Élysée within a month....

@MThaastrup @jwcph I have a little more faith in liberal America than you do, but cannot disagree that if this was happening in France, Paris would be on fire.

@ApostateEnglishman @jwcph I want to have faith, I really do. But the way they have handled it until now has been a dismal failure.

Which is why they won't - *modern* tyrants have elections all the time! They just don't count the votes of the "wrong" people.
When ICE is deployed at every voting station "to prevent cheating", and kidnaps anyone who looks like they might not vote for Trump, what's your vote worth then?
