There are three ways to ruin: death, exile, and spiritual impoverishment.
Each has its own type of truth: physical reality, socially constructed reality, and experienced reality.
Death's warning is pain; exile's warning is shame; spiritual impoverishment's warning is numbness.
Each has its own way of knowing: science, gaining approval, and embodied authenticity.
