I love using Linux as my operating system. There are some huge quality of life improvements over Windows.

I have circumvented the WhatsApp issue to a degree by using Beeper. And although Beeper "needs" google play, you can alternatively use microG instead.
As a bonus, once you have signed up with Beeper, because it is built upon Matrix you can actually use any Matrix client to log in, and still have access to all you contacts which is exactly what I do on Ubuntu Touch.

@Tutanota How do you guys install linux? I am stuck with windows. I tried and it did not go well. I don't have a usb or dvd or anything and I tried the other stuff but it did not work. I am not good with technology so that is probably me.

@Tutanota my ISP just blocks DuckDuckgo and Yahoo search engines.

@HelixNotes @Tutanota How did you install linux or did you get a computer with linux? If you got computer/laptop with linux then which one do you recommend?
@XNHQ I definitely recommend installing it yourself. It's a great learning experience. All you need is a USB stick to download the distro of your choice to and a tutorial to walk you through the first part of the install. Don't be shy, give it a try!

@Tutanota I use all the tools on the right (just chose a different non-Google search engine), but I haven't been able to get off WhatsApp, although I have significantly reduced the contacts who are only available there...
