    @codinghorror I can't see state subsidies and bailouts in the chart.

            Arguably, most of the billionaires below the "Finance, investing, asset mgmt, trading" line belong on that line, since one becomes a billionaire at any of those companies by being lucky doing those four things.

              @alesroubicek
              In this context your original reply gets interesting.

              Just to think about the obvious cases of being subsidised, particularly if government (esp. military/LEOs) is on the (cash) line (TL;DR: techfashbros et consortes).

                @codinghorror So basically

                53% are just rich by birth/speculation crap and other bullshit jobs

                13% more from technofascism and bullshit jobs, that's artificial stupidity, crapvertising industry which is both
                - a malware distribution networks
                - surveillance capitalism
                Helping authoritarian governments with mass surveillance tech and toxic business patrices (US companies software licensing models are basically ripoff… Same for UE proprietary software as they adopt the same toxic practices…

                1/2

                    @codinghorror

                    - A big part from 10% is from destroying the planet (including fossil-energy, plastics… )
                    - At leats part from 7 include over-priced junk food and toxic addictive crap
                    - Another 7% are landlords paaristes and leeches…
                    - …

                    And basically all of them take a shitton of public money…

                    Ah yes, "self-made men" being hated because of "anti-rich/anti-success jealousy"… according to themselves 🤡
