    This Mother’s Day, let’s remember: Woman didn’t come from man’s rib. He came from *her* womb.

    One of patriarchy’s biggest lies is naming the father as the life-giver.

      @Strandjunker

      Well, maybe the father's name is given to the child because, unlike who is the mother, who is the father is not so obvious.

      Interesting facts :
      In Quebec, women do not change their name when marrying.
      In the new genaration, not all but many, probably most, children are given the names of both the mother and father.

        Absolutely. Most of the animal kingdom have it right. Females propagate the species. They produce males for one reason only: to pass on some of their DNA to another female so natural selection can keep honing the design.
        Drone bees have one function in life. Black widows and mantises even eat the male to recycle nutrients wasted on the sob.
        Elephant herds are females. Most female mammals allow only one winner to fertilize. He things he's hot shit.
