if I don't know you, and you pop into one of my transfem advocacy posts trying to argue that I'm being "transmisandrist" because I'm not considering non-transfems' experiences or something - don't. you're not going to convince me, and all you're doing is perpetuating a culture of transmisogyny by shouting down transfems who talk about our oppression.

They love to engage in weird projections of tranfeminists, and try to twist basic feminist theory into terf-like talking points.

It's weird, because they tried to pile on me at one point, and I just slapped them down and they seemed to run away and try to build a transfem straw-woman. But I think I have a lot of the instances they congregate on muted at this point.

@steff I even gave her suggestions of alternative language to use to describe anti-transmmasculinity that isn't reliant on manosphere language and she basically went "no"

I tried to approach her with the goal of kicking off a diecussion, but she clearly had a conclusion in mind about me already and was interpreting everything I said in the most malicious, black-and-white-thinking way possible

@YKantRachelRead@social.treehouse.systems It's this constant notion of "both-sides-ism" where there is always some kind of equal and oppositional bigotry. It's the reason they hang on to the mansosphere language and regularly shout "Not All Men!". These are defense mechanisms to try to exclude or ameliorate themselves from the systemic prejudices and power imbalances in our culture. I've literally had discussions with tans masc folks who will go deep into feminist theory and then turn around and argue that it doesn't apply to trans women, but does apply to trans men. The 'othering' of us very real, and it's little wonder why so many trans fems are separatists.
