    How Democrats Are Embracing Dark Money

    Democrats are creating obscure new nonprofits to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars into politics, raising concerns about ethics and transparency. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/03/us/politics/dark-money-nonprofits-explainer.html

          @taylorlorenz Good. Take the money. Stop coming to a gunfight with a sharp feather.

            @taylorlorenz important to note that "Democrats" has a different meaning from "the left", and NYT conflates the two here.

                @taylorlorenz

                This is FINE. Dems will definitely only ever use these mechanisms for the Right Reasons ®️, and this would NEVER come back to hurt us, their (reluctant) supporters.*

                *Requisite Poe's Law disclaimer that this is sarcasm, just in case.

                    RE: https://flipboard.social/@newsguyusa/116340930425957493

                    @taylorlorenz So then why are the Democrats lose so often? Maybe because the Reps are way better in doing the same thing than the Dems?

                    Or is this again something to discredit the Dems in the public eye, in the light of the latest mental outburst and action from Agent Orange?
