Had a massive urge for a doze at about 5pm and just woke up at 2am. Guess I'll be an early bird this week.

The freshly ground Lavazza coffee was particularly scrummy this morning.

What a splendid 4:30am shower, only slightly lessened by having to tiptoe around the creaky floorboards to get my new clothes without waking my wife. The cat was calling for cuddles too, which I couldn't really ignore. So Carla briefly woke up and asked what I was doing before falling asleep again before I could answer.

Feeling refreshed and ready to attack the day. Have already prepared a package to be sent to the UK for testing, need to get the Zoe's drum break fixed so we can stop paying an absolute fortune for diesel, and start prepping the second bedroom as my future workshop. The bigger unheated room I initially had pencilled in is just too cold. So, got to transfer all the junk from the second bedroom to the other room, scrub up the walls and get masking tape ready so I can apply a first coat of paint.

Might set up my new desktop for Linux while it's still early. Need to move the Windows OS from the NVMe drive to one of the SATA drives on the older Windows desktop, replace the CPU with the older one, and replace the decent GPU with the ancient 710.

I'll be using a new 2TB NVMe drive for Linux, and cannibalising the other 1TB one for my Jetson Orin Nano.

Changed the GPU and CPU. Forgot about the stupid CPU cooler back-plate that always falls off. Grr.

Anyway, waiting for my mirrored SATA drives to resynch, then I can copy the data to another drive for backup, break the mirror, and copy the system drive to one of them.

Spent ages getting gunk out of the GPU and CPU coolers, which was a bit sneezy.

I'm not going to bother with the new desktop today as I don't have the USB cables to connect to the keyboard and mouse switch. I can still finish off cannibalising the NVMe drive though.

Gotta love Windows file copy from disk to disk, merrily swapping between 10 minutes and 10 hours time remaining.

                    It was 10 minutes, yay!

Onto the always slightly scary OS cloning.

Yay! Case closed. NVMe to SATA clone worked fine. Just a bit slower to boot.

@bazkie Yeah, I guess so. Possibly time for a quick nap first.
