No, your sedan will not work up this road. Mild 4WD. Fun to MTB too, essentially flat for just a happy jaunt for us unserious bicycle people. 🤪

@ai6yr Went up a quite rocky trail in the north of Norway with a few friends, each of us in a landcruiser with 33" tires, looking for campsite for the night.
At the top plateau we found a Volvo 740 and a Saab 99. We had taken the only way up/down - only foot path were other options from there.
We agreed to be impressed by Swedish car design and drivetrain robustness

@msbellows @cruiser Beetles were that lightweight?!?!

@msbellows @cruiser Beetles were that lightweight?!?!
This says they were less than 2000 lbs, but split across 4 people that still seems like a lot to lift… maybe just tilting it up.

@bolderbekah @ai6yr @msbellows@c.im @cruiser True story: My older brother visited a VW dealership in the early 1970s when he was in high school. He had questions about the Beetle but obviously no money to buy one. So the salesmen ignored him. When my brother wanted to see underneath the car, his weightlifter best friend, Greg, simply lifted up the front of the car so my brother could see underneath. The salesman came running across the lot yelling, “You put that car down!!!”
