behind-the-scenes work done in the Harry Potter full cast edition series is mind-blowing. The musical composition, songs, background score, foley, sound design, and the mixing process truly give goosebumps. They say that they try to adopt a folk musical style in the series to differentiate the movies from the book, and it really works. You should really listen to this.

@frog67 This dramatized Harry Potter thing has gotten me into the stories after all this time, the acting is awesome, I'm on the third book

@startrek2025 I agree that they've done an excellent job with the dramatisations, and they've based them on the books rather than missing bits out like the films did. I don't have the luxury of being able to listen to them in Dolby Atmos, but everything sounds great even through ordinary stereo headphones.

@frog67 Yeah, I don't have amazing headphones like that either, so just listening on alexa, but that's fine. That's cool that they've been going exactly with the books, although someone told me they omitted some things, but I didn't think that was true

@startrek2025 If they have omitted anything from the books in these dramatisations, it's far less obvious than in the films.

@frog67 @startrek2025 They haven’t. The whole idea was to dramatize each entire book Word for Word.

@technocounselor @frog67 I don't think I'd have tried the series again if this hadn't come out, given that I had a hard time settling into the narrated books for some reason. This is really keeping my attention this way, I'm in Book3, I couldn't stop laughing when Harry made his aunt's body blow up lol
