    The world can be better than this. We don't have to just accept what the megacorps say. We don't have to just do what makes them money. We can make a map, and record, everyone in the world if they want. We can include everyone.

    A new world can be born

      The world can be better than this. We don't have to just accept what the megacorps say. We don't have to just do what makes them money. We can make a map, and record, everyone in the world if they want. We can include everyone.

        @amapanda In addition to what the OSMF board has endorsed @pnorman's contributions there have been particularly insightful.
        Whilst it's challenging to do what Overture are trying to do here in public, their efforts have made the last 5 UK governments look competent (and yes, that in includes Liz Truss) - a very high (or low) bar to clear.

          @SomeoneElse @amapanda I'm sure @pnorman, just like myself would have liked to comment on the technical content of the proposed standard, because as the OSMF says it isn't as if persistent ids haven't been of interest to the #OpenStreetMap community.for many years.

          There is just this small issue .......
