Anti LGBTQ laws and regulations do not harm only the LGBTQ community, but EVERYONE. I was one of those in the armed forces during prohibition and I absolutely dreaded the "knock in the door" and being hauled before my CO to be accused of being LGBTQ. It did happen to me, albeit AFTER decriminalisation and frankly I have never overcome the fear, hidingy true self of the bare allegation from my CO even though by that time it was not criminal.
And this can and does happen to people who in fact are completely straight, I know, I have met them and it has a similarly detrimental impact upon their lives.
We can and just be better than this as a society, but frankly it has to start with straight folks, because any problem that you have with us is not an Us Problem. It is a YOU Problem. So get a fucking grip of yourselves, and stop blaming us for your issues and fragility.

Yes absolutely this! Those who declare themselves "normal" do so with the implication that LGBTQ folx are "abnormal", which is harmful. And now we have some on the right switching from "gender ideology" to "transgender plague". This is EXACTLY the same language used by Nazis to describe the European Jewish Community a century ago.
Same language
Different minority
