    @JugglingWithEggs

    Clive Lewis needs to cross the floor.

    @ReggieHere

    I’ve been saying that for a long time…but when I saw him speaking at a recent event I really did not get the impression he would. He’s been trying to offer up his seat to Andy Burnham…but it’s too late, it’s no longer a safe Labour seat.

      10 seats on #Norwich City Council for #Greens is great news!

      Sad but not surprised to see Reform gain 2 seats here as well. They took them from Labour. There hasn’t been a Tory presence in the city for some time.

      It’s slightly bizarre though that at County level Bowthorpe has gone #Green…my working assumption was that at City level it had gone to Reform.

      The rightwing local rag, the EDP reported it like this:

      ‘Professional triathlete Joe Skipper, Reform UK's candidate, lost out by 86 votes to Green Amber Smith, taking a seat which used to be Labour's.

      Neil Hardman - Lib Dem’s - 134
      Rebeka Jones - Conservative - 195
      Mike Sands - Labour - 711
      Joe Skipper - Reform 1003
      Amber Smith - Green - 1089’

        Bowthorpe is where an asylum hotel is based in #Norwich. It had been projected to go to Reform…but it looks like local folks rallied in support of #Greens. There is hope!

                    Further to my previous confusion over Bowthorpe (which is home to #Norwich’s asylum hotel) it’s just been reported that at both county and city level it’s gone to #Greens…

                    Proud of how my city has responded to Zia Yusuf’s vile asylum concentration camp plan. Honestly think his hideous policy backfired just as I predicted it would in divided areas with a strong Green presence.

                      This is huge for #Norwich !

                      This is what the area of the city has recently experienced:

                          Further good news of sorts…#Reform failed to take control of #Norfolk as projected. They came within 3 seats though.

                          But Rupert Lowe’s ultra far right outpost of Great Yarmouth, returned entirely councillors for his Great Yarmouth First Party, so in practice what was a #Tory council is now incredibly rightwing. Both the old parties collapsed.

                          While I’m encouraged by the #Green wins in #Norwich, Blofield, Brundall, Diss and Roydon, I am ashamed of Norfolk.

                            The Greens celebrate their success in the Norwich area of the Norfolk County Council election, where they have won 10 of the 13 counts at the UEA Sportspark
                            It has been a Labour wipeout in the Norwich area, with all 13 county council divisions now declared at the count at the UEA Sportspark.
                            Before this round of elections, Labour held seven of those 13 seats, ahead of three for the Greens, two Independents and one Lib Dem (the party's Norfolk leader Brian Watkins).
                            That has now flipped to 10 for the Greens, two for Reform UK and Watkins holding the one Lib Dem seat.
