    @tal @Pepijn They do look like drawer pulls. But are they too small?

    Maybe they're towel or coat hooks?

      @Pepijn they look a little like these pegs in the door jam that our sliding door latches onto. I have no idea what those are called πŸ˜‚

      @wylan Ooh good one. Our sliding door has something similar. Less refined though.

      So nope πŸ™‚

        Want to play a game? Here's a photo of two identical machined stainless steel objects. Can you figure out what they are and where they're from?

        I *think* both questions can be answered but lets see!

        UPDATE: 1/2 They're indeed high quality coat hooks. Now where are they from?

          @Pepijn
          I think I've seen something like that on flat pack furniture - they push into a hole and another rotating piece locks/captures them? Would explain the visible scratch marks.

                          - too small for doorknobs
                          - too small for cabinet feet
                          - too big for electronic equipment feet.
                          - scratched. Someone (you?) needed pliers (what's combinatietang in English) too get it out.

                          Intended as hooks for hanging something with a cord on?

                          Machining in the middle bit is a bit coarse. A machining exercise?

                            @nblr @Pepijn Or pulleys in some sort of tensioning system I.e. to regulate the speed of a drill press or lathe? The cones certainly hint at a belt that needs to slip onto the cylindrical part.
