@drunkenmadman hehehe, I'd suggest just getting an Aldi kit for the brain, but really, those old rubber pads, as good as they were at the time, just can't compete with a modern electric kit.

Yamaha was quality, no doubt, but you look at modern Yamaha kits, and it's basically the same as those Alesis kits: mesh drums with multi-touch cymbals
