At our city council meeting and the Christofascists are lobbying for making "In God We Trust" city policy. (no action items to that extent, no interest of the city to do anything, these folks just like hearing themselves speak, apparently).

(For the record, no actual influence on city policy, apparently these folks don't have any hobbies and file in for the open "public comment" time in the beginning of the meeting, quote scripture, someone made angry comments about Thomas Jefferson and "Separation of Church and State", more scripture quoting, and then after a bit file out... and they don't even live in the city. )
