You realize most transphobic attacks are targeted towards trans woman, and not trans man, right?

@serigala_tropis you are incredibly incorrect, most trans men face misogyny for their entire lives
do you really think some transphobic chucklefuck looks at my H cup tits and doesn't throw the most incredibly misogynist shit my way
consider nuance a bit more and think before you trample over a community that's been historically hand in hand with the lesbian community...

@serigala_tropis yeah not all trans men transition surgically, i personally cannot due to medical reasons, and i am also the type of person that'll never pass despite my best efforts
there are many trans men like me!apologies for getting heated!

@ghostprince @serigala_tropis I would also like to add that even if trans men pass, they are still facing misogyny their entire lives. The patriarchy is threatened by all trans people as they demonstrate that gender is fluid and therefore unreliable as a power structure. Each trans group is attacked in unique ways. Trans women are typically publicized as a means to fearmonger about transness in general. Trans men are typically subjugated and erased. Very not funfact: of all trans groups, including nonbinary people, trans men face the highest rates of sexual abuse. I myself dealt with what many trans men have faced historically, what is called corrective sexual assault, an attempt to detrans trans men and make them "know their place." Trans men are unique in that they experience conditional male privilege, this is not the same a cis male privilege, even whilst passing, and as soon as they are clocked violence will likely ensue. Trans men are less likely to report these instances due to their sensitive nature and assaults of this nature tend to be publicized less in general. The patriarchy hates trans people for a more nuanced reason than "woman bad."

@damonology @ghostprince I haven't heard of trans man in my area, even they don't show up in local queer community at my city. The rational explanation would be that they have chosen to hide their visibility.

@serigala_tropis - nope. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.
Trans men and non-binary people are hated just as much, and threatened with just as much violence.
Is a lot of it rooted in misogyny? Absolutely. Misogyny dictates that there are only two ways to be: "man" and "not-a-man". Anyone who falls into that latter category is to be violently "corrected" by the misogynist.
But if you think that doesn't also apply to someone who has the wrong body parts to be a man, who doesn't use the right words, who doesn't love the right people, who doesn't conform to the very slim and rigid misogynist definition of what a "man" consists of in any way? You haven't been watching.
