since we've not had nearly enough snow for the mountains so far this season, i have come up with clever plan. instead of waiting for cold weather to make nice substantial, warming dishes, i will make the dishes to fool the weather into getting colder. 😉

tonight, sausages & polenta. will braise the linguica in red wine, rosemary, onion, olive oil, then serve over the polenta.

still amazes me how restorative cooking is.

wasn't the greatest day, but put on a bunch of Don Stiernberg (jazz mandolin player) music on, got a negroni to sip, mis en place done. now cooking sausages before i start the polenta.

      much better...
