            @grumpasaurus having experience running thousands of instances as a mongo DBaaS platform the answer was “yes because the exit (will be|was) worth the self-loathing” but also with the right tooling it wasn’t* that bad

            *pre-k8s-insanity

              @tky ah. In that case was mongo a core part of marketing the service or did it just happen to be a part of the stack for the service?

                @grumpasaurus core - the company was all about managed mongo and as time went on many other dbs.
