    Twenty-eight days.

Today, it is exactly four weeks since I died.

Okay, maybe I didn't technically die, or maybe I did, I don't really know..
I do know that I did have a cardiac arrest and got CPR for three minutes before getting the defibrillator paddles twice and reawakening to a familiar, but somehow altered reality.

Waking up each day hits different now.

    Good morning.

@dabertime All the best in your second life.

And I am glad that you had people around you that knew how to handle such a situation.

@dabertime may I ask: in what ways does this new reality feel different for you? πŸ€”

@lifewithtrees My life now feels more fragile, precious, simpler yet grander.
What I can do and how forever changed, heighten sensitivity, awareness.
        Priorities, relationships, gratitude,...

Good morningπŸ™‚. I'm very glad you're still here.
I understand how you feel. May you have more mornings to reflect & enjoy life.
My flatlining experiences were in childhood on surgery tables. When you've met death more than once & death isn't ready to accept you - every morning you awaken feels like a blessing πŸ™πŸ’—

@PhoenixSerenity yep. I had a prior defibrillator experience, but I had not flat-lined in that instance, Just a rhythm reset, likely moments before a major cardiac event. The total system reboot is next level for sure. I'm glad you're here too. πŸ™

@renata @WTL six more. I used two in previous close calls, but this one was definitely the most intense and closest to the end.

@masek Thanks. Being in the right place at the right time was a miracle of situational alignment in itself.
Had any one thing not happened exactly when it did, it would have been game over.

@dabertime A close friend had a heart attack a year ago.

He had to be revived twice.

Same as you: had he been at a different location (e.g. in a car) or some others not there, the outcome would have been tragically different.

@dabertime I had wondered why we hadn't seen you in our feeds in a while. I had assumed that you'd been busy with work or a project. And I guess you have ... recovering. Glad to see you back. (Internet hug)

@dabertime Been almost 2 years for me. Not cardiac, but septic shock. BP 70/0, systems shutting down. My wife was emailing friends and family that I was about to die. Obviously, I was unaware, as I was intubated and on a respirator and in a coma. But then I came back, but with some residuals. But I'm still on this side of the grass!
