@kottke so, I used to look after TV cameras for a living. Whilst I know about the lack of objective colorimetry we have, we can learn some stuff. The way you do this with cameras is to have a preview switch in the remote control panel that allows you to directly bounce between them, and adjust colours on the fly. I retired in 2020, so I guess I'm out of practice!

If anything, the issue seems to be less remembering colours and more that their picker is subpar and unintuitive (and I say this as someone who studied graphic design).
