$750 for Plex Pass is INSANE.

$750 for Plex Pass is INSANE. If I really liked #Plex "because it has more client apps" I could probably just swap out every streaming client I have for less than the new Plex Pass price.

That being said, I personally already have Plex Pass lifetime and will continue to use it lol

@flwwhtrbt if/when I decide to switch I'll probably try Jellyfin again, but I suspect I'd end up paying for Emby unfortunately.

@jonah WOAH. They’re tripling the price with a roadmap that basically just includes stuff they used to offer and crushed in prior updates? Yikes. Nothing they’re offering is worth 3x for lifetime.
I also already have lifetime (since before the other price increase last year)… but still. Maybe I should just move to Jellyfin already.

The important thing is that Plex's new pricing is just a bridge too far for most, and it makes me so happy knowing there's other options available to people!

@jonah my only guess here is they learned the lifetime subscription model isn’t a good long term business model and this is their way of practically phasing it out?
