            @gettie that's the right action to take. if i learn that my country's finalist did anything subversive to expose israel and the genocide of palestinians, since they didn't withdraw from the contest as others did, i will be very glad. until then i feel ashamed of every participant really

              @hydroxyl the thing is that i sometimes enjoy that show, more or less a guilty pleasure of mine. but yeah, it's better to keep boycotting. in fact, when the israeli song played, i turned my head away from the tv and muted the sound (i think i changed channel too iirc).

              as for the participants, i think the countries who are absent deserve our respect, as well as those who spoke out, even in retrospect. like the person who won the contest a couple years ago and returned their prize as a protest.
