In a few years, the only way to get socketed RAM on a laptop will be to build one around a tiny office PC. -

In a few years, the only way to get socketed RAM on a laptop will be to build one around a tiny office PC.@moses_izumi I absolutely do not believe everyone who says soldered RAM is faster. HBM style RAM installed on the same substrate as the CPU _Might_ in _some_ situations that most people, probably won't actually notice.
Besides, RAM capacity, unequivocally, matters more than RAM speed.

No good reason we can't have both.
10GB of fast RAM today, 100GB of "slow" RAM tomorrow.
(RAM on die is just an extreme version of CPU cache) -
