@regehr Time stops existing in my shower. Things have improved by mounting a clock where I can see it but it’s no silver bullet

I have to put things in my way to remember. the empty shampoo bottle gets thrown over the shower curtain into the bathroom sink. then when I get out of the shower, I see the bottle and I remember. other things get put in the middle of the kitchen table where they're in the way until I add them to my list.

@coolcalmcollected @regehr My sibling-in-law has a bunch of routines like this to manage their ADHD, like, "This single sock is here on the table as a reminder that I need to fold clothes." Then their in-laws, who are my parents, arrive and try to "help" by "picking up clutter", and the routines fall apart

@regehr I have started proactively yelling at Siri over my shower curtain to put shampoo on the grocery list the second I notice because otherwise no shampoo

@kaoudis @regehr I circumvent the dimensional memory barrier by having backup shampoo in the pantry and putting it on the grocery list as soon as I take it into the shower

@regehr I will throw the bottle through the interdimensional portal and into the sink where elsewhen me can discover it. Very Interstellar.

@regehr @BartoszMilewski I have a dive slate for this … but then I leave the slate in the shower and forget about it, or leave it out of the shower when I have to write something down.

@regehr @BartoszMilewski I also have a waterproof notepad for backpacking, but while it does survive the occasional drenching, I don’t think it would hold up to regular shower use.

@BartoszMilewski @regehr I've tried this and it doesn't work out. Having water droplets on the screen messes with the capacitance enough to make typing nearly impossible.
