Saskatchewan: Canada's Breadbasket

Saskatchewan produces more than half of all wheat grown in Canada, earning its nickname as "Canada's Breadbasket." The province has approximately 40% of Canada's cultivated farmland and is the world's largest exporter of lentils and dried peas. Its agricultural dominance is represented by wheat sheaves on the provincial coat of arms.
