It's only been 5 weeks since the Coronation Park Sports & Leisure Centre opened in #YEG, which includes the renovated 50-metre Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre. I'm going to try to visit weekly, only $3.50 if I visit between 11:30 and 1300. After falling off the bouldering wall quite quickly, I purchased a chalk bag. Climbing shoes may be a future purchase but it's a great workout even if I'm only on the wall for a couple of minutes!
Fabulous weightroom, and I'm thrilled to be using a barbell again. There is a spin studio (and an indoor velodrome!!) so I'm tempted to do a cycling workout from Fitness+. There is a stand that would fit my iPad.
The usage of this facility was delightfully diverse today! Plenty of seniors like me, immigrants from around the globe, high school students, and adult special needs programs. Also, #YEG has built swimming pools adjacent to nearly every high school in the city, with libraries, transit centres, and recycling stations nearby. Excellent urban design.

It's a fabulous facility!! And you really know that because a BUNCH of random strangers struck up conversations with me to say how great it was, even at the library afterwards. -
