@nblr something working doesn’t mean it’s not stupid. A AAA battery and a AA battery? The AAA would run out faster needing to be replaced and you have to stock two different types of batteries.

@nblr Looking at all the comments, I would say that chaotic is a given, but the rest is pretty balanced, no evil intention here.
        Chaotic neutral seems right…

@griffin30007 @nblr It's a clever but silly-looking "lockout* system that lets you use one AA or two AAAs, but without letting you mix different cell sizes at once. So it's actually meant to allow you to use whatever you happen to have on hand instead of needing one specific kind of battery.

No. Only one of either type of battery.

@pawv @nblr @NanoRaptor Holy shit, this is *real*! I was looking for a smoking gun proving that it's fake, but instead I found this manual for the Logitech MK255 TM250G Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo, which I have backed up for posterity: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17qEFUvDQIuG-vbvSzILhUjwDPJmZQB7Y/view?usp=sharing

Anyway, I am excited to see if anyone has a photo of the rare cruciform AAa battery that everyone forgot was briefly available for this model, but sadly not compatible with the side-by-side AAa standard that was chosen by most other manufacturers.

@pawv I fear, it's slightly below that level. @NanoRaptor level would mean fitting the matching battery in:

@nblr @pawv @NanoRaptor Ooh, that's what I was looking for. I remember having to go to five different shops to see who still had these in stock. They were also really annoying to store; they took up a lot of space, and the centre was a bit fragile and would bend if you weren't careful.

May this be an inspiration to us all...

(Clearly one battery is for lefties and the other for righties in order to maintain symmetrical balance regardless of mouse hand 🤣)
