      in Vancouver, French is fourth behind English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

      if sorted by
      native speakers French doesn't even make the list (at least the one on wikipedia)

          @hypha@cafe.mycelium.locahlo.st @ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net And the distribution of French speakers in Canada is heavily weighted towards Eastern Canada. It's partially why the west has grievances. West of Ontario it plummets to a few percents and you never hear it spoken. Growing up in Saskatchewan no one spoke French. In Ontario and east I heard it all the time though.
