    The coolest phone I ever owned: the #Nokia Communicator 9300i.

    After years of hauling around #Apple Newtons & Palm PDAs this felt less like a phone & more like someone had slipped a tiny computer into my pocket.

    Back then, phones still had personality. They were weird, bold, ambitious. Today, most of them look like slightly different versions of the same black rectangle.

    And that moment when you flipped it open — screen, keyboard — it felt like pure magic. Probably my first straight-edge high

        @pallenberg I owned a Nokia communicator once, but my last #Nokia smartphone was the E 61i. This was a very solid device. For a very short period of time I owned a N 95 with a five megapixel camera. I never used it that much. Then I switched to the iPhone 3Gs. Good old days.

        I had a palm OS organizer also combined within expendable keyboard, and my trustee Sony Erickson. A combined powerhouse … 😉

                @pallenberg

                Die Individualität der Phones gefiel mir früher auch besser, doch heute können sie dafür mehr. Es hat seine Vor- und Nachteile.

                    @pallenberg In "La Casa de papel" they collect everyone's cellphone and put them on a wall in a room.
                    This scene made me quite sad recently, because we lost so much variety in design since then.
                    Unfair to single out Apple, but the iPhone brought us uniformity.

                      @pallenberg wollte ich immer haben, konnte ich mir nie leisten. Obwohl man ja mittlerweile auch schnell nen Tausender los ist bei den heutigen Geräten.
