      @unikitty I can see why they won't: there's a real legal impact here and it puts them at risk. They're software distributions, not works of activism. But I'm glad someone is.

        @ben Internet surveillance makes me as queasy as anyone, but a little more information about these laws, proposed or enacted, would help me. What specifically is it about the California law that will make community Linux distros impossible? What exactly prevents the open source community from banding together and offering an inexpensive age verification service to support community web sites?
